Using the Oven

  1. You will need to collect raw ingredients from various places throughout the sim. These are often used in other cooking processes through out, such as honey, which is also used in mead making.
  2. You will need to collect firewood. The fires in the oven may go out during the cooking and they will need to be re-lit, so you may need more than one pile of timber for each recipie.
  3. Touching the oven will bring up a menu. This will list all available types of food you may wish to cook. Clicking on an option will start the process and give you a list of ingredients you will require. Do not worry if you dont have them, the oven will reset itself if you take too long to begin.
  4. To start the process, once you have the ingredients, place then close by to the oven (obviously once you have selected the recipe you wish to make from the oven’s menu) and touch them to add them to the mixture. It doesnt matter what order you do this in. Do not take too long or else your progress (and ingredients) will be lost if the oven resets, you have min 60 secs to do this for single ingredient recipies, and longer for others.
  5. it doesn’t matter when in the process you light the fire: before you chose a recipe, during the mixing process, or after the mixing process. The fires will, however, need to be lit before cooking can start. Place the timber in the mouth of the fire compartment and touch the timber to light the fire.
  6. Onece the ingredients are added, they will appear inside the oven. If the fires are lit then the food will begin to cook.
  7. Touching the oven during cooking will tell you how long you have left to wait. Make sure if the fires go out, that you relight them again or else the food wont cook.
  8. When the food is cooked, open the oven doors and touch the food inside to collect your cooked food.
