This Rules Notecard is regarding the Roleplay in the sim

WARNING:
This Sim often contains active and ongoing Role-play scenarios involving activities such as rape, violence, abuse, domination, sex, kidnapping and many other acts that might be found objectionable by some people. If you cannot tolerate seeing any of these things occur it would be best for you to leave.

This sim is a privately owned, Valnor role play is based on gor with a very important difference : at the opposite of the traditional gorean sims wich are dominated by Males this one is dominated by Females , and is ADULT RATED. You MUST be at least 18 years of age to be on this sim. Note that playing here is a privilege, not a right, and it may be revoked by a SIM admin or a mod in response to rule breaches, or OOC drama.
Violation of any of these rules is likely to result in an ejection from the sim and/or an immediate ban.

Due to the number of griefers and alts created solely to cause drama, Avatars s less than 20 days old can’t engage in roleplay. They can observe providing they respect observing sim rules.

Observing Visitors must wear an observer tag and cannot interfere with any roleplay on the sim. Questions may be asked contacting a resident in IM. This is not a BDSM

Rule Detail:

This is a fully roleplay Gorean based and RLV enforced sim. You are required to wear the actual gor meter and proper Gorean medieval clothes (sexy is allowed for fw and slaves ) AND use a RLV-enabled viewer with active relay set to auto.

Observers: If you are new to this kind of rp you are welcome to observe but you have to follow the rules. You have wear observer tag. Please do not interfere with ongoing role-play. If you have any questions or need help, please IM one of the residents, they will be more than willing to help you out. Observer status is NOT be used by experienced Gorean RPers as a way of scouting out the SIM.

Meter: The most current version of the GM is required; no other meter will be accepted. When Out of Character set your meter accordingly and do not engage in role-play (no conversations in open chat). OOC can only be used by SIM Admins/Mods and people involved in moderations.

RLV with active relay required besides GM. (RLV does NOT mean collar or that you are slave. it is just to make the traps on ground working more realistic and there for to enhance the RP experience. Though to the fairness we require it from everyone!)

Clothing: Wear appropriate clothes if you wear some , unless there is an out of character event. Free women, wear appropriate gorean or medieval clothes. NO cleavage showing or excessive skin. An exception from this rule are the Priestesses of the Sisterhood who may dress much more freely (but still in ancient or medieval theme including oriental style)

Conversation: Public conversations (i.e. in Local Chat) are considered role-play and IMs are considered out of character.

**DISCLAIMER: In case of roleplay disputes Mods have the right to ask both parties to submit the logs of chat, necessary to rule a valid/invalid roleplay. Parties involved have the right to decline it, but in that case dispute wil be solved against the favor of the person failing to provide the necessary logs.

Laws Regarding RP Bans

If you have a person RP banned, and it is clearly marked in your profile, you have two choices:

1. If you engage in battle on this sim and shot down by that person then you MUST accept the binds but may refuse role play from them beyond the binding;

2. You do not come to this sim and engage any of the residents here in battle. This applies to the resident groups as well.

Laws Regarding RP Limits

Captors and captives: Limits stated in profiles or noted on a notecard before the date of the roleplay are valid only. It is the captors responsibility to ask for any limit card or checking the profile BEFORE the roleplay starts. Limited capture time will NOT be tollerated… if you have a 30minute no RP rule on your profile… Contact a MOD first and let them deal the case …

WE WILL NOT respect limits that are put in place to hinder rp. Such as slaves that cannot bind you, or slaves that are not allowed by their owners to be captured, re-collared, punished, or detained. All slaves can be punished by ANY free, compensation should be sought by the owner and the compensation will not be in the form of $Lindens.

Laws Regarding Safe Zones

Safe zones:
10 Minutes in a circle with 5 meters radius around the landing point at the beach.
10 minute Safezone rule is risen once the first RP line has hit the text windows and can be seen in local chat by enemies

Once you walk away from the landing point -OR- if you engage in IC RP within the landing zone you are NO LONGER SAFE, you can and may be downed there.

You cannot return to the safe zone and expect to be safe once you have entered into RP.

Laws Regarding Weapons and Who Can Use Them

Free women are allowed to use the same weapons as Men except two handed swords and axes . Valnor is not totally gor its based on gor .

Regardless of Weapon maker, the following is illegal: Dual wielding and the use of two weapons at the same time. Hybrid Weapons: Any weapon that can change from Range to Melee, and back automatically, Bolas, Assassin Wrist blades or Climbing Claws, or any type of Combo weapon. Shields are also NOT allowed.

No Specialty Arrows of any kind (except rope arrow for grappling)

Slaves are allowed to use weapons for female slaves heavy weapons such as two handed swords and axes are not allowed For Males they are allowed .

Visiting slaves are not allowed to use weapons of any kind, but may aid or bind if here on a raid.

Sheaths MUST be worn, if you have hidden weapons they MUST be identified on the front page of your profile, and exactly which weapons you have on you and where they are located. Your picks page does not count, it MUST BE THE FRONT PAGE OF YOUR PROFILE.

As for all Kurii visiting/raiding must have the visit pre-approved with the Sim-Owner or admins.

Laws Regarding Panthers and Taluna

Panthers or Talunas are the girls of many of the Gorean forests, former Gor Free Women and runaway female slaves who have fled from male Gorean society and taken up residence in hidden unexplored forests.

They do not come inside a city unless they are in disguise as FW to get food or candy.

We allow panther raids by the same ratio as all raids, and if our citizens are captured by panthers we will raid them or have to trade them back.

No Panther alliances will be accepted.
I repeat this as many can’t seem to read!
NO PANTHER ALLIANCES WILL BE ACCEPTED! means if you raid here only your group no multiple groups will be allowed!

Laws Regarding Combat

The latest version of the GM Meter OLNY, there will be NO RESETTING OF YOUR METER ALLOWED. If you are found to reset or detach your meter during combat, you will be AUTO CAPTURE OR EJECTED – no questions asked. If you receive permission from an RP mod to reset your meter, you must go to the market, reset there and then return to combat.

RLV-enabled viewer AND active relay in auto mode is needed also. any safewording or switching off of the relay to escape a trap will lead to auto capture or ejection. the Traps have a timer which will release you. Use the time you have for some emotes.

Raid Ratio 2 to 1 (for ALL raids including rescues), you are allowed to bring two warriors to one of our warriors. If you bring slaves they are only allowed to bind, they cannot attack. If they pick up a weapon against a Free they will be killed.

We will NOT accept useless raids, just to raid because you are bored, saying you came for a bag of salt…..ONLY legal RP reasons are acceptable to raid any group at Valnor. if coming to rescue you have to explain how you knew the person was in custody……RP well and do not cheat. We all want to have fun in RP.
Some examples: Cases like coming to retrieve a slave, harboring a fugitive for the raiding party and such are considered valid, One of your members entered the city to steal a girl or food. One of our warriors take that person in custody. You will come to rescue

No more than 2 Groups are allowed in raiding/rescuing parties. Do not conference all of your buddies and bring mixed groups as this would not have happened in Gor. The 2 groups have to have an IC relationship with each other. IE: Actual allies or hired Merc etc. Keep it realistic, you wouldn’t just grab a convenient group to aid you if you didn’t know them IC.

If you are either set “Away” or “OOC” when a battle begins, you are NOT PERMITTED to take part in that battle. Please either Then Set Away or leave the sim, DO NOT REMAIN OOC.

If you are not on the sim when the battle begins, you are not allowed to participate. Exception: If persons logging home into Valnor shall be allowed to enter combat or any other actions as this is where we live , therefore logging in is just like waking up at home and realizing there is danger and it’s time to protect one’s home.

ALL exits must be made from the beach and by the portal which is set up there (first tp back up to the market THEN leave the sim), one full line emote is required. If you are leaving with a captive, you must emote taking the cap on board and sailing with them and you MUST leave a flag or a note so we know where to get our captive!

During combat: Once you tp out, you must wait 30 minutes before you are allowed to return.

Birds are not Permitted to call for allies (if they are required a person must be sent to ask for help.)

When an Avatar is captured and taken from this sim, OUR CAPTURE AND KILL POLICY RULES WILL APPLY. Unless otherwise agreed by the captive. This person cannot be traded to another you take them you RP with them and leave a flag or a note so we can find them. If the Captive agrees on 3 days we will not come for them if not we will come and rescue them before the 3 day limit.

Aiding is permitted. 3 emotes, 10 words each.

When you are bound NO Rolling, Sliding or Crawling is allowed.

GRAPPLES need to be emoted three lines, 10 words or more SHOUTED OUT. (The grapple can be no longer than 15m and should be placed where you are standing or near as practical. The base cannot be higher than head height and grapples cannot be stacked one on top of another.) Rope arrow is acceptable and still must be RP SHOUTED. INVALID GRAPPLING MAY RESULT IN AN AUTO CAPTURE.

If you take one of our Captive our rules apply to your sim when we come to rescue them, we will not honor any permanent anything to any of our Citizens or slaves.

Ladders must be RP carried from the entry and may NOT be over 10 Meters in length or one Meter in width

NO JUMPING at all while in Combat. The only exception to this rule is jumping down to the ground from a wall or a building. NO HIGH JUMPING AT ANY TIMES!

NO WALL CLIMBING OR CLIMBING STEEP MOUNTAIN/HILLSIDES

Rescues/Trade – Must Wait 1 Hour minimum from time of Capture. Ransoms or trades will NOT include actual $Lindens at any time. Captives may be traded for any kind of RP goods or meter coins. Exchanges such as a captive for a captive, etc. are legal as well.

Binding – 3 Lines minimum, 10 words each. At least one emote should be of disarming. Once three lines are emoted, you are considered bound even if you bubble has NOT been clicked in time. Self bind if necessary.

Self Unbinding is Permitted – BUT, only after 15 minutes of no active role play, then you are required to make at least 5 emotes taking you 7-10 minutes is allowed. No McGyver or Houdini on Gor. Make it real.

Self Unbinding is not permitted once you on a Cross or Post etc. (Abuse of this Rule can results in a Ban). It is also NOT permitted for a bound person to unbind another bound person.

Cutting someone Else Free – 3 Full Line Emotes

Escapes – Any escape from a cage, collar, etc., should be note-carded and sent to your captor. If he/she challenges your escape and you cannot come to an agreement, it will be sent to an RP mod. Escapes will take no less than 20 minutes, minimum the longer the better all chat must be in local and note carded submitted to your captor or sim Administrator. This must be done even if no one is on the sim.

Deaths – ALL planned kills NEED FIRST TO BE APPROVED BY A MOD OR ADMIN. Deaths are 24 Gorean Meter hours. There needs to be 30 minutes of RP and a minimum of three emotes, and a very good IC reason. Killings on this Sim that Do Not Comply with our Kill Policy and General Rules will result in a 72-hour BAN. All approved kills must then be note carded and sent to admin for review.

Suicide – Death by suicide is for 7 days.

IF YOU CAN SEE A PERSON, YOU CAN SHOOT THEM! *BIG BUT* WE DO NOT PRIM SHOOT. This means we do NOT target people behind doors or solid walls. Beware if you turn off alpha, it is effectively a cheat, rendering people visible that might otherwise not be. This is a building tool not a combat tool, if the person is not visible under normal conditions you may not target them, to do so is will cause an invalid and may result in a warning, ejection or a ban.

Free women may use bows. The bows must be smaller in size compared to those used by the men.

Drag only 1 captive with you unless you cut the ropes of the feet so they can walk.
Females CAN drag a male captive for a short distance (for longer distances the ankle bindings should be cut)

Slaves can defend the town of Valnor and they CAN aid and bind. If you bring a slave with you on a raid, accept the fact that if they use a weapon on a Free, they will be killed no 30 minute RP required.

A captor is not allowed to fight while they have a captive leashed. Do not use the “Ties the leash around his/her waist” routine. Flat out, you leash somebody; you had better unleash them so you can fight again. You must also walk, not run, while dragging a captive.

Laws Regarding Capture

If you cannot accept being capped then you need to consider if rping in Gor is right for you.

If your sim does not allow or recognize Female outlaws, mercs or archers, do not take any captives from this sim. Females will be allowed to go on rescue attempts. However, this does not mean you can not raid.

Capture time is 72 hrs. Release before this, will be by agreement, rescue or escape.

Escapes must be emoted appropriately in a minimum of three emotes and note carded for review in the case of dispute.

Rescue Raids attempts are not permitted prior to 1 hour from time of being tied up; or, if taken down elsewhere, from the moment they arrive on the Valnor dock. You have to make plausible how you know we have one of your members.

Ransoms or trades will NOT include actual $Lindens at any time. Captives may be traded for any kind of RP goods or meter coins. Exchanges such as a captive for a captive, etc. are legal as well.

If you capture someone, you are responsible for his or her RP experience until such a time they are released, escape, or the time limit has expired. Think long and hard about whether you wish to engage in a long-term capture, as you will be ultimately responsible for that person RP for the entirety of that time. It is suggested that you discuss playtimes with the captive in OOC to determine if it is even feasible for a long term capture or if you and the captive are not on at the same times enough to make the experience for either worthwhile. The Captive will not go to someone private house or rental unless it’s a FULL combat zone and NO OOC we have to be able to rescue them. Also you will leave a flag or a scroll stating that you took someone the persons name and the location you took them!

Discuss the person’s limits BEFORE STARTING any RP with your captive. You don’t want to spend time RPing only to find out some barbie or ken doesn’t want their hair cut.

Where submission is obtained under torture, please respect that individual is playing their role realistically, and in turn be realistic in your expectations of them going forward. Admin will not take punitive action to enforce a collar on your behalf, in instances where it is clear the individual concerned refuses to continue in that role.

Deaths must be emoted in a minimum of 3 emotes and require at least 30 minutes of role-play in advance of this to be valid. You must have a good, IC stated reason to kill. The emotes must be suitably descriptive. All kills will be note carded and forwarded to SIM admins. The death will not be valid until it has been reviewed.

Laws Regarding Mod Issues

Role play issues should be addressed to local SIM moderators in the first instance. Only a person DIRECTLY involved in the RP can call for a moderator. Prepare note cards as evidence to back up your complaint. No note card means any complaint. Be clear about the rule which has been broken and where you think the RP should be rolled back. Do not reset your meter, or refuse bindings unless a moderator tells you to, try to continue with the RP until the moderator shows up. The only exception is when an individual is clearly marked as a no role-play person to you in your profile, prior to being captured.

Any claims of INVALIDATION within Valnor are to be ignored. Disrupting role-play or combat may result in your ejection. Only moderators/administrators of this sim are permitted to invalidate a role-play that has violated these rules. If you feel these rules have been violated, request a moderators ruling.

Please be aware should you wish to escalate your issue to the admin team – it is unlikely the admin team will overturn decisions made by our RP moderators. The current list of admins and mods are as follows:

Sim Laws

This is an Adult SIM, no age play. No one under the age of 18. No AV’s under 20 days.

No furries, nekos, fairies, robots, dragons, vampires or elves, etc. No fighting (visiting is fine) larls or any other Gorean animal or TARNS
Anyone being foul mouthed, or abusive of any one on the SIM, will be EJECTED OR BANED

NO shorthand typing. (lol, ok, u for you, etc.…is not acceptable.)

Please respect the privacy of others. No camming into private homes

NO Godmodding. It ruins the rp for everyone. Do not assume someone’s reaction, do not write it for them, do not RP something and run off without allowing for their reply. (Unless of course, you’re running for your life).

No animal walk/run ao’s No shields and push scripts No speed enhancers.

Any collared slave caught conducting themselves in a disrespectful manner towards free may be detained, punished, or killed.

Uncollared slaves may be force collared by any Free this is the only permanent force collar allowed

Any slave collared within the Sim is considered the property of of the Valnor-group the collaring person is member of unless she/he specifically begs the Master’s or Mistress’s personal collar.

Trained and owned slaves of Valnor may not be bought or sold for $Lindens.

Server Raiding – Must give NC to an Administrator of the RP how you found the server your raiding our server, and each item removed. this MUST be emoted in open chat then note carded.

No fighting while swimming (although the swim ao is allowed). You may be shot at while swimming but you may NOT shoot BACK while in the water.

Assassins will be asked to underwrite that contracts are based on valid IC storylines, and not OOC/drama driven. The information on source will not under any circumstances be divulged. Assassins may kill without prior role-play of 30 minutes requirement only. However, they must be appropriately marked as assassins with a contract.

Female outlaws or Mercs are allowed.

Setting of fires is permitted. If you set fires use, the touch/die fire provided only. That way they can be extinguished quickly through RP. Use of any other fire will be invalidated and sent back. All settings of fires should be role-played three lines minimum for the initial starting of the fire or lighting of the first torch, then one line per action of setting a building on fire etc. EXCESSIVE USE OF FIRE OR FLAGS WILL BE CONSIDERED GRIEFING AND MAY RESULT IN BANNING.

ATTENTION:
ALL VISITORS, OBSERVERS AND RESIDENTS that enter this sim are subject to the laws of Valnor. Please read our rules fully. Ignorance of them will not be considered an excuse for inappropriate behavior in our home. Any issues not covered in these laws will be decided by a mod or admin.
