[This is old. The GM RP system has since been removed.]
With the GM combat system is also a role-play trading system.
What you need to get started:
First you need to upgrade your GM HUD to version 4.4 or higher if you haven’t already. You will also want set-up an RP Server (see below). The RP Server works like a factory and produces a basic object of your choosing every 3 to 5 days. From the basic objects more complex objects can be made. You may need to trade with other players to craft some items. All items can be sold at Gimli for coins. There are a couple useful things that can be bought or made. One is bandages. Bandages heal you during battle by adding health to your meter. Another is poison arrows or pins. These will render your opponent unconscious with one shot. See the GM Crafting pages for more information. (There is also a spreadsheet with some more data.)
Roleplay Server Set-up
First go to Gimli and get an RP Server. Next unpack it. Now you must find a place in Valnor to rez your server. It should not be too easy to see because people can loot them. It has to be on or near the ground and must not be too close to someone else’s server. If you move your server, it will reset and anything it was making is lost. After it is set up correctly, you need to tell it what to produce. Your choice will greatly depend on your role (see Crafting HUD setup). Move close to the server, click on it, and you will get a menu of server options. Select “Factory->Type” and then what you want it to make. So, if you are starting out as a blacksmith, you might want to make raw iron, so you would choose “Factory->Type->Metal->Iron”. It isn’t so very intuitive, so play with it a bit. After three days(for most items) your factory will have finished what it was it was creating and will start making another one. To retrieve your item, you must first “pack” it. (“factory->pack”) and then retieve it using “get->metal->iron” or whatever you made. If you don’t pack things the factory will happily churn out more until it has made six and then it stops.
